Change yourself

Timothy Here,

The world is changing, and changing fast. Technology, education, health, eating

habits, dress – there is hardly anything in life that is not changing, some changes

we like, while others create fear and anxiety.

Recently, I entered GTB to make deposit, The first cahier I saw was Mr Joshua.

Wow!! I was surprised to see him after 5years.  Mr Joshua was a cashier back then

@ Access bank, a good and dedicated one, he handle customers meticulously and

with a radiant smile. So Seeing him again as a cashier for GTB saddens my heart.

Getting to my turn, me and him exchange pleasantry. But, the first question I asked

Mr Joshua was, apart from being a cashier what other skills do you have? What have

you achieved so far as a common cashier? Mr Joshua was dumbfounded.

After he deposited my money for me I left him with a food for thought and my phone

number. Am sure their are many people out there like Mr Joshua, that has no skills

or plan for their future, The world is changing gradually leaving you behind, moving

along with people that are ready to fly, Everywhere there is a feeling of insecurity.

Change is pervasive. There is no end to it.  There is only one way out of this.We must

be prepared to redesign our lives, to redesign our social order and rebuild our self.

“Here Are 4 Ways You Can Help Change yourself

1. Start Small:* You don’t have to take on everything at once, in fact, it’s better if you

don’t. Start small and just take the first step. This was the secret of Nobel Prize winner

Muhammad Yunus, the founder of micro finance and micro lending. What small action

can you take today? Take it. After your Bsc, ACA, there is nothing wrong in Learning

accounting skills, learn skills that can add value to your career.  Small actions can build

on each other but you need to take that first step.

2. Let Your Values Guide Your Spending : If you spend according to your own

personal values, you’ll make a statement and also find more harmony with your money.

Make a list of the products and services you buy most? Do their business practices align

with your values? Are there other options?

3.  Meditate: While this seems like an internal change,  meditation have also been

shown to have a positive effect on your surrounding area. Meditation is a powerful tool to

bring internal peace to us as an individuals, but it may also benefit those around us.

4. Be Authentic in Everything You Do: You have a unique value and perspective on life

and that makes you inherently beautiful and amazing. No one else in the universe is like you.

You are one of a kind.
