Timothy Here,
What you get achieving your goals is not as important as what you
become by achieving your goals… Brian Tracy
What in your life do you want to master? When it comes to mastery,
the first step is setting a goal.
It’s a fundamental key to all lifelong success plans. Now,
the concept goal settings is no longer new but the truth is that most
people don’t have a clearly defined goals. Also, goal settings goes
beyond merely speaking in the affirmation and vision of something greater.
In 1953, research conducted Yale university researcher where they
interviewed a graduating class series of questions one being
“Do you have a clear, specific set of goals with a written plan of achievement?
Surprisingly, only 3% answered yes. Then 20years later, the researchers went
back to interview students and they observed that only those 3% were happy
and excelling in all spheres of life compared to the remaining 97%.
So how can you make your goals meaningful is what to look at below:
Write it down: write your goals down not on a computer but in a paper or journal
. There is something that happens when you write something down. You become
creator when you write something down.
Get clear on the goals: write out a step by step plan on how you intend to achieve
the goals. How would achieving those goals change your life?
Certainty: it is normal that you don’t have an idea of how to achieve your goals and
it is fine that you the clear goals you have set is beyond your current abilities. What
is key here is that you have absolute total belief and faith.
Practice and Repetition: Repetition is the mother of skill. The greatest coaches in
the world became best by practicing over and over again. You cannot set goals one
time and never look at it again then expect a long term result.
To your Success,
