Why do we hold on the past?
Why is it so difficult to let go of the experiences that have caused us pain
and suffering. For many of us we got stuck in the past because of our need
for certainty; about survival. We all need this form of feeling in other to avoid
pain and be comfortable.
Another reason it is so difficult is because of the emotional attachment. When
a woman feels hurt by her partner, she repeats it over and over again and it
will look impossible to amend because the matter will always be brought up over
and over again.
Just like a woman is emotional attached to any that causes them and never let go
so is our past which has a direct impact on our lives and happiness which affects
our productivity.
However, how do learn to overcome and move on is what we will be looking at
Firstly, determine the reason for letting go. Ask yourself “How will the decision make
you happier, how will it change your life?, how will this new chapter of your life?
This are very key because they will help you remain focused and motivated.
Secondly, identify your emotional patterns; letting go your past entails understanding
your emotional habits which has a direct effect at the way you look at the life. Hence,
it is advised that you condition your emotions towards positive aspect and train your
to feel passionate, strong and joyful.
Thirdly, the ultimate breakthrough happens through conscious effort on conditioning
your mind on a daily basis. If you don’t, no matter how intelligent you are in guarding
what goes into your mind then you are simply approving things that will have negative
influence on you.
Lastly, give back by engaging in programs that are far bigger than you. No matter how
broke you are or broken you may feel, you still have abundance to give to the world.
